Credit Services of Illinois’ Corporate Office Makes Move
After 25
years at 2101 W. Park Court in Champaign, our Corporate Office and Champaign
branch of Farm Credit Services of Illinois moved to a new location the week of
June 16, 2008. Our new offices are approximately eight miles west of our former
location in Champaign at the Prairieview exit at
Mahomet and I-74 – with frontage on Route 150 as well as I-74.
Our former
facility was designed for our business in 1982 when we served 5 counties and a
loan volume of $100 million. Significant growth due to loan demand and
corporate mergers has allowed FCS of Illinois to grow to over $2B of loan
volume, serving 8,000 customers in 60 counties. According to Don Olson, Farm
Credit’s Executive Vice President, “Technology has contributed to our ability
to handle this growth efficiently, but we remain truly a relationship business
with our customers, and we have added staff over the years. We simply outgrew
our former facility and this opportunity became available.”
We
purchased this building and 50 acres at a Sheriff’s sale in 2007 at a price
that allowed us to remodel the building to accommodate our needs. As a result, our new facility provides our
customers with a well-located and economical office for the Champaign area. In
addition to serving the local customers in the greater Champaign county area,
the building houses the corporate office staff to support the lending
operations of the other 21 branch offices in 60 counties of downstate Illinois.
In total 62
employees are presently housed in the 44,000 sq. ft. Mahomet facility, which
can accommodate our growth needs for many years. The fact that the sheer volume of furniture,
files, technology and other property took only 5 days to move and operations
continued with no outage during that week is a testament to our staff and the
grace of God for the perfect weather to move.
We are proud of our new home at 1100 South Farm Credit Drive in Mahomet,
Illinois. The amenities it provides with its technological capabilities,
meeting room facilities, comfortable lunch room, and easy accessibility and
visibility make it an ideal location and positive work environment. We are busy with the finishing touches prior
to our open house on Friday July 11, 2008.
However, our top priority continues to be servicing our branch offices and
our customers.
